The chapter calendar

Your chapter's next three events are on Home under Coming up. Tap Chapter calendar to see everything.

Three ways to look at it

Pick one at the top of the calendar:

  • Agenda is the list, by month. It's what you see first. Tap Past for what you missed.
  • Week shows seven days in a row, Sunday to Saturday. On a phone, swipe sideways to see the whole week.
  • Month is the whole month as a grid. On a phone each event is a dot; tap a day and its events show underneath.

Use the arrows to move to another week or month, and Today to jump back. A trip that runs several days shows on each day.

Tell the chapter you're going

  1. On Home, tap Going, Maybe, or Can't go right under the event. Or open the event and tap one there.
  2. Change your answer any time before it starts.
  3. Bringing a passenger or a friend? Open the event and pick how many under Bringing guests.

Other members see your name next to Going or Maybe, like a sign-up sheet at the meeting. It helps road captains plan the group and the restaurant plan the table. Want it different? Open your Profile and set On event RSVP lists, show me as to Full name, Initials (like S. S.), or Nothing (just counted). Your pick wins over your chapter's setting. You're still counted in the total, just not named, if you pick Nothing. Your officers always see who answered.

Put the calendar on your phone

  1. Open Chapter calendar and tap Put this calendar on your phone, just under the heading at the top right.
  2. On an iPhone or a Mac, tap Subscribe on this device and confirm.
  3. For Google Calendar, tap Copy the calendar link. Then in Google Calendar on a computer, choose Other calendars, +, From URL, and paste it.

New events, changes, and cancellations show up by themselves. Phones check every few hours, so a last-minute change may take a little while to appear. The event page in the app is always current.

Good to know

  • Cancelled events stay on the calendar, crossed out, so nobody rides to an empty parking lot.
  • Keep the calendar link within the chapter. Anyone who has it can see the calendar (not who's going).
  • Some chapters keep their calendar on their own website. The app copies it every hour, so you'll see the same events here.

For officers

  • Add an event is at the top of the calendar. Times are your chapter's local time. Tick All day for a rally or a trip, and add the last day.
  • To change or cancel an event, open it and tap Edit or Cancel the event.
  • Already keep a calendar on your chapter website? Open Officers: calendar settings at the bottom of the calendar and paste its ICS subscribe link (an address ending in .ics, or a webcal:// link; many chapter sites have one at /calendar/feed). Those events change only on your website.
  • If the calendar link ends up somewhere public, tap New subscribe link. Members who subscribed will need the new link.
