Reviewing photos fast

Open Review queue from Home and decide one photo at a time. The GPS box and the rider's note do most of the checking, and you can approve every GPS match in one tap.

Steps

  1. On Home, under You manage, tap Review queue. It shows how many photos are waiting.
  2. Look at the photo, the Photo must show line, and the GPS box.
  3. If the photo came in sideways or upside down, tap the turn button (↻) on its corner until it's upright. Each tap turns it a quarter turn clockwise.
  4. Tap Approve if it's good. The next photo slides in.
  5. To send one back, tap Reject, pick a reason, add a note if it helps, and tap Send to rider.
  6. Tap Previous or Next to skip around. On a keyboard, the left and right arrow keys do the same.

Reading the GPS box

  • GPS match: taken inside the stop's zone.
  • Far from the stop: shows the distance. Check it closely and read the rider's note.
  • No GPS in photo: judge it by eye.
  • Same photo used before: this exact image was already sent on this challenge.

Tap Compare photo and stop on a map to see both spots.

Go faster

  • When more than one GPS match is waiting, a button such as Approve all 6 GPS matches appears. One tap approves them all.
  • A chapter admin can check Auto-approve photos whose GPS matches the stop in challenge setup. Matches then count right away, and the queue holds only the exceptions.

Good to know

  • Reasons are Bike not visible, Sign not visible, Rider not in photo, Wrong location, and Other.
  • The rider sees the reason on the stop page and gets an email with the reason and your note.
  • Your own photos show up here too, and you can approve them. Self-approvals are flagged in the log.
  • Turning a photo fixes the saved copy, so the rider and the gallery see it the right way up. It doesn't approve or reject anything, and each turn is logged.
  • Every decision is logged.
  • Chapter admins, plus anyone added as a manager or reviewer on the challenge, can use the queue.

Adding a photo for a member

If a member texts or emails you a photo for a stop, you can add it for them. This is for the primary board (Director, Assistant Director, Secretary, Treasurer), the Activities Officer and the Webmaster.

  1. Open the member's card: open the challenge's Results page (from Challenges in the Chapter console), find them under Riders and tap View card.
  2. Under Stops and dates, tap Add photo on the stop.
  3. Pick the photo. Turn it with the turn button if it came in sideways, and check the date it counts on.
  4. Tap Add to the card. It's approved right away in the member's name, and the log shows you added it.

Add photo also shows on stops that already count, and says Replace photo when the stop has one. Your photo takes the stop's place at once and the old photo is deleted. The stop's date and the member's count don't change, and you won't be asked for a date. A stop holds one photo.

When a member sends a new photo for a stop that already counts, it shows in the review queue marked as a new photo for that stop, with the current photo beside it. Approve puts it in the stop's place and deletes the old photo. Don't use it deletes the new one, the member keeps theirs, and they see a note in their inbox in the app.

If the member already has a photo waiting for that stop, approve it in the review queue instead.
