Adding photos to the chapter gallery
Your chapter's photos are on Home: tap Photos next to Chapter calendar. Each event gets its own album, officers can start albums for anything else (the banquet, a rally trip), and each challenge has an album of stop photos.
Add photos from an event
- Open the event from Coming up or the Chapter calendar.
- Once the event has started, tap Add photos under Photos.
- Tap Pick up to 30 photos, choose them, then tap Add.
You can also open any album from Photos and tap Add photos there.
Photos are resized for the web (about 2,000 pixels on the long side). Keep your originals: the gallery isn't an archive. Location data is removed before a photo leaves your phone.
When other members see them
An officer or the chapter Photographer approves new photos before the rest of the chapter sees them. You see yours right away, marked Waiting. Albums are for your chapter's members only.
Look, save, and remove
- Tap a photo to see it full screen. Swipe (or use the arrows) to move through the album.
- Tap Save to keep a copy. On an iPhone, press and hold the photo, then tap Save to Photos.
- Sideways or upside down? Open your photo and tap the turn button in the corner. Each tap turns it a quarter turn clockwise. Officers and the chapter Photographer can turn any photo.
- Changed your mind? Open your photo and tap Remove. It's deleted for everyone.
The challenge album
Approved stop photos from riders who share their photos show up in the challenge's album by themselves. To include yours or take them out, go to Profile and tick or untick Share my approved photos with my chapter. Your stops count either way.
For officers and the Photographer
- Review N photos waiting at the top of Photos opens the review grid. Tap photos to pick them, or Pick all, then Approve or Remove.
- Your own photos go straight in.
- New album starts an album that isn't tied to an event. Open an album and use Album settings to rename it, hide it from members, or delete it. In a photo, Use as cover sets the album's cover.
- Removing a photo deletes it. In the challenge album, Take out of album hides a stop photo from the album without touching the rider's stop.
- Officers see the chapter's storage under Photos. Your plan includes 5 GB, which is roughly 12,000 photos. You'll see a note at 80%, and uploads keep working past it.
